COVID-19 Response & Reopening Operation Guidelines

5/8/2020

Hafa Adai!
As of Monday, May 11th, Premier Dentistry will officially be re-opening but with updated operations at reduced capacity. We have implemented various precautionary measures. These are measures are supplementary to the procedures we had already been practicing prior to the COVID-19 situation.

The current, additional precautions are as follows:
  • Plexiglass sneeze shields installed across entire reception area
  • Customized tri-fold plexiglass sneeze sheld for patient screening zone
  • Spread-out seating area in lobby waiting room (physical distancing)
  • Hand sanitizer dispenser installed at the entry of the clinic
  • Facial tissue provided in lobby and all dental treatment rooms
  • "Stormtrooper" protective face shields provided for all staff
  • Lighter load for patient scheduling to minimize interaction in the aiting room
  • Staggered shifts for staff lunch breaks (to ensure physical distancing for staff members as well)
  • No accompanying people permitted in waiting room or dental treatment room unless the person is a legal guardian or assisting a patient with disability.
  • Staff members will be screened daily and will record their health conditions in a safely-maintained log notebook
Additionally, patients will be asked to complete pre-screening during appointment confirmation calls and a screening on the day of the appointment at the screening station.

All patients MUST wear a mask in order to be allowed for entry into the clinic. If patients do not have a mask, they will be asked to purchase one of the masks available for sale at the clinic OR re-schedule the appointment.

As a health care facility, Premier Dentistry has always abided by the universal standards for a clean and sterile environment; however, out of an abundance of caution, we have implemented additional measures to ensure the safety of both patients and staff. Premier Dentistry held a half-day training session for all staff to ensure they are up-to-date with
the changes and enhancement, as well as the new operational guidelines. We ask that you abide by our patient guidelines as well as follow the instructions of all staff members in order to ensure a smooth process.

Thank you for your patience and understanding,
Premier Dentistry

IMPORTANT: COVID-19 UPDATE!

3/19/2020

Due to the current uptick in COVID-19 cases on Guam and around the world, Premier Dentistry is instituting additional steps to ensure a properly sanitized clinic environment. Although we normally take exceptional care in keeping our clinic clean and safe, because of current conditions, and because the health and safety of our patients and staff is of utmost importance to us, we have added extra layers of screening. Please bear with us.
Before you enter the clinic, please use the hand sanitizer that is provided to carefully clean your hands.  If you have travelled recently, have even a slight fever, or are experiencing any flu-like symptoms, please call our clinic and we will gladly re-schedule your appointment.
We have reorganized our waiting room area to maintain social distancing—although it may look a bit funny, we hope you understand.
We will reduce our clinic hours but will try to stay open as long as it is safely possible. We want to continue to take care of the needs of our local community, but need to ensure the safety of our staff as well. All elective procedures will be postponed until our clinic resumes normal operations.
Thank you for our cooperation,

The Premier Dentistry Team
